NFL Picks - Week 2

Bravo, NFL. The Week 1 lineup was a great one, putting alot of pressure on the coming weeks to deliver. Here's what I see happening;

(Winners in bold)

Seahawks at Steelers

Not going to be pretty. Steelers have something to prove and Seattle has no way of stopping them.

Raiders at Bills

Was last game a fluke? Both teams have to answer this question. Hard to pick the road team on a short week.

Cardinals at Redskins

Kevin Kolb is solid but can he withstand a solid defense? Can Rex Grossman win two games in a row. I've got to go against my gut and go with the 'Skins.

Buccaneers at Vikings

Will the real Donovan McNabb please stand up? A measly 39 yards passing ain't gonna cut it, my friend. For that I have to pick against him again.

Jaguars at Jets

The Jets will dispose of the Jags and the Super Bowl talk will follow. Or if Jets lose somehow, the Super Bowl talk will follow. Jets own New York.

Bears at Saints

I think the Saints are getting slower in all the wrong places. Drew Brees can throw for a ton of yards, but it looks like the defense will make sure he will be playing catch up all game.

Packers at Panthers

No way Cam Newton can will this team to win a game like this. Still, all eyes will be on him for better or worse.

Ravens at Titans

I wouldn't look past the Titans. Chris Johnson didn't have a good game, but the Matt Hasselbeck/Kenny Britt connection did. Far from fearsome, though.

Chiefs at Lions

The Chiefs looked horrible last week. It may be a couple of weeks before they get their balance back. If Stafford is healthy, the Lions will win this.

Browns at Colts

If the Colts lose this, then declare the season officially dead. R.I.P.

Cowboys at 49ers

In 1993, this would have been an epic battle. I'm picking the Cowboys for one reason, last week the 49ers scored 33 points with one offensive touchdown. That type of production doesn't win games.

Bengals at Broncos

Part of me wants to pick the Bengals to upset the Broncos, but their quarterback situation may be a little worse right now. I can't trust a Gradkowski.

Chargers at Patriots

Irony. Former Pats linebacker Tedy Bruschi caused minor distraction by saying Chad Ochocinco is too distracted to play REAL New England football. Can't win for losing.

Texans at Dolphins

I think the Dolphins showed last week that their secondary can't be trusted (517 passing yards to the Pats). Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson must have been drooling all week.

Eagles at Falcons

Biggest game of the week. Vick comes home for the first time as an opposing starter, with a (possibly) better team. There will be tears. There will be cheers. At the end of the day, the Falcons walk away with a win.

Rams at Giants

Both teams are banged up. This may be the "flip a coin" game of the week. It'll be nice to see Sam Bradford on national television, though. I want to see what the hype is all about.

Last week: 8-8 (not a losing record at least)
2011 Sean: 8-8
