NFL Picks - Week 3

This season has been awkward so far. Outside of the Packers and Patriots, it seems like every other team is struggling to stay afloat. Now, realistically you can't be worse than 0-2 at this point, but it feels like teams are playing much worse. I'll have to keep that in mind because I haven't been doing too well.

(Winners in bold)

Jags at Panthers

The headline will be the rookie QB matchup between Blaine Gabbert and Cam Newton. Two straight 400 yard passing games give me more confidence in Newton.

49ers at Bengals

With or without Cedric Benson, I'd pick them to beat the Niners. I'm not even close to a believer in San Fran. Offense is putrid.

Dolphins at Browns

Cleveland can't seem to find their footing. At this point, beating Indy doesn't count as a win. Give me the team that gave New England a game.

Patriots at Bills

Speak of the devil. This game feels like a trap game. I think that if there is an upset this weekend, it'll be this one. Upset alert.

Giants at Eagles

If the Giants didn't have 67% of their team on the injured reserve, this may have been a game.

Lions at Vikings

I remember writing that this is a make or break year for Donovan McNabb. It looks like he chose "break".

Texans at Saints

I think we are one or two games away from calling Arian Foster a one year wonder. It's not his fault he's hurt, but coming back and being unproductive doesn't help. Remember, they went 6-10 WITH him last year.

Broncos at Titans

I watched the Titans over-match the Ravens last week. Now I'm out for vengeance. They may be spent from giving Baltimore their all.

Jets at Raiders

Are the Raiders better than expected? Yes. Are they better than the Jets? No.

Ravens at Rams

Barring a last minute trade that would send Kenny Britt to St. Louis, I think the Ravens can handle them.

Chiefs at Chargers

I don't think the Chiefs will lose ALL of their games, but I just don't know when they will win. Not this week for sure.

Falcons at Buccaneers

Division games are hard to choose, especially when the Bucs have a reputation for sneaking up on teams. The Falcons were a Michael Vick concussion away from being 0-2. Not inspiring confidence.

Cardinals at Seahawks

Somehow the Seahawks are worse than advertised. That's not an easy feat to accomplish.

Packers at Bears

Game of the week, for sure. Don't forget that the Bears, not Packers won the division last year. Even though Jay Cutler is probably getting sacked as we speak, the home field advantage in a rivalry as heated as this could be the difference.

Steelers at Colts

When NFL scheduling goes wrong. I don't expect many non-Steelers fans to be tuned in to Sunday Night Football for this one.

Redskins at Cowboys

No Miles Austin for the Cowboys will hurt more than Tony Romo's ribs. Circumstance favors the Redskins. Surprise 3-0 team of the NFL.

Spectacular job last week if I do say so myself. I DO know what I'm talking about it seems.

Last week: 13-3
Season: 21-11
