NFL Picks - Week 7

Last week was good to me. But unfortunately, that was due to a very weak, mismatched slate of games. This week is going to be a rough one for everyone. Makes for good football, but bad decisions when it comes to choosing games.

(Winners in bold.)

Chargers at Jets

The question is "How good are the Jets?". We will find out this week. And the answer, I think, is "not very". Their offense is just too weak to stand.

Bears at Buccaneers

Not exactly the easiest game to choose. The Bears are just as schizophrenic as any team in the NFL and the Bucs have something to prove. I'm not quite a believer in Tampa Bay just yet, though.

Seahawks at Browns

Not much to see here. I'm not picking against a backup quarterback on the road in a West Coast to East (timezone) game. Not this time.

Falcons at Lions

Now there's a chink in the Detroit armor. Of course, they weren't going to go 16-0, but the game after the first loss is always telling. I think their lack of a running game comes back to bite them this week.

Texans at Titans

ANOTHER tightly contested game. The Texans are sputtering on offense without Andre Johnson; same goes for the Titans without Kenny Britt. I saw how the Titans home crowd disrupted the Ravens, but I also saw how the Texans' offensive line kept the Ravens D at bay. That's enough to make me lean to Houston.

Redskins at Panthers

The Skins' D is good enough to keep them at above water against subpar team, so they should be able to fend off the Panthers. My only concern is that they made a quarterback change so abruptly. Doesn't matter for this game.

Broncos at Dolphins

Tim Tebow is an all around winner in this situation. The Broncos win, he is crowned leader in the with the highest "I told you so" praise from the fans. If he loses, it's because they gave away their top receiver a week before this game. Buys him a little time. But Miami will probably try to lose this game...again.

Steelers at Cardinals

Ken Whisenhunt comes back home. And immediately wonders why he ever left.

Chiefs at Raiders

I've seen Kyle Boller waaaay too many times to pick in his favor. But the Chiefs don't have much going for them right now.

Packers at Vikings

Welcome to the NFL, Christian Ponder.

Rams at Cowboys

A win here will launch the Cowboys right back into the national spotlight. A loss here will launch the Cowboys right back into the national spotlight. (No that was not a typo).

Colts at Saints

Most lopsided game of the week; expect the expected this week.

Ravens at Jaguars

Couldn't come up with a better Monday night match-up this week? Might not be worth the watch.

This is one of those weeks where anything goes. Don't get your hopes up for me on this one.

Last week: 11-2
Season: 61-29
