NFL Picks Week 13
Let the Eagles game serve as a lesson; don't ever go against your gut. My gut told me to NEVER trust Vince Young and I was suckered in after one measly win. Man, did he look awful. I'll see what the rest of the week has in store.
(Winners in bold.)
Raiders at Dolphins
It's easy to hop on the "we have nothing to lose" bandwagon in Miami, but I can't see this going on for too much longer. Even good teams stumble every now and then. A loss wouldn't be devastating here.
Broncos at Vikings
Tim Tebow is 5-1 as a starter and people are going wild. I keep picking against him (and the team) and end up looking like a fool. Could I really be stupid enough to pick against them again? Minny won't have Adrian Peterson and they are only 2-9 on the season. Picking Denver would only guarantee that the Vikings walk away with a win given my history.
Chiefs at Bears
The Bears are definitely stumbling right now. Kansas City, though, has it worse.
Titans at Bills
The Bills look terrible all of the sudden. It can't be said enough, to be honest. Since Matt Hassellbeck is returning, I see another Tennessee win this weekend.
Falcons at Texans
Good news? Andre Johnson is back. Bad news? T.J. Yates is now you're starter. Have fun for the rest of the season, Houston.
Bengals at Steelers
This is the week's sexy upset pick. For everyone except me of course. It would take a really good team to walk into Heinz field in December and come out with a win.
Jets at Redskins
The Jets are playing for their lives here; they can't afford to lose these types of games right now. Any stumble could push them right out of the playoff hunt. With the Redskins having nothing but pride to play for, the motivation may not be there to win.
Panthers at Buccaneers
Typically this would be an easy pick, but with Josh Freeman banged up, this may be the perfect time for the Panthers to sneak in a win.
Ravens at Browns
I wish I was confident, but the Ravens have made a bad habit of playing down to the level of competition. Hopefully, that trend ends here.
Cowboys at Cardinals
Cowboys have all the momentum right now. Kevin Kolb is coming back for the Cards and I'm not totally sure that's a good thing.
Rams at 49ers
Not a chance.
Packers at Giants
Do people realize that when picking the Packers to fall week in and week out, they are giving them the dreaded "no one believes in us" motivation?
Lions at Saints
The story will be about Ndamukung Suh's suspension, but the focus should be on Drew Brees's run at history. I think he will remind us this week.
Chargers at Jags
Probably the worst Monday Night game in recent history. I'll take the team who still has their original coach.
So far, so good. Every team has been totally fleshed out. All it took was 13 weeks to narrow things down. That's not bad, right?
Last Week: 10-6 (including Thanksgiving games)
Season: 115-63
