NFL Picks - Week 14
Big Ben beat the Browns while fighting off injury...blah blah blah. Truth is, if he wasn't winning games then we call Roethlisberger "injury prone". Right now, it's not even fun when he "bounces back from an injury". It's his routine. Let's get to the rest of the games.
(Winners in bold.)
Buccaneers at Jaguars
The Bucs have had a horrible season to this point. I'd like to remind you that I warned that Tampa Bay was fool's gold. Don't let this one fool you either.
Texans at Bengals
I think the loss of Andre Johnson (again) will be enough to stall the Texans against an equally good defense. We might be headed for three AFC North teams in the playoffs.
Chiefs at Jets
If I were Kansas City, I would be throwing games right now. They lost their starting running back (Jamaal Charles) and starting safety (Eric Berry) right at the beginning of the season. What's the harm in angling for a better draft pick for next year when those guys come back? Take advantage of the opportunity.
Vikings at Lions
Minnesota will be decent in a couple years. But a couple of years is a couple of years from now.
Colts at Ravens
There are only a couple of Ravens remaining from when the 0-15 Miami Dolphins got their one and only win over Baltimore. Hopefully, the memory stuck and the Ravens don't give another team their first (and possibly only) win.
Eagles at Dolphins
Two teams heading in opposite directions. Philly's season is over, but I foresee them pulling this out for the sole reason of torturing their fans more over whether or not to fire coach Andy Reid.
Saints at Titans
I'd be tempted to pick the upset if the weather conditions were different. According to the almighty internet, Tennessee is looking like clear skies. It's a shame, but weather might be the only thing that could stop New Orleans at the moment.
Falcons at Panthers
NFC South battle as Atlanta fights to stay alive. I think that motivation will be enough to push them to a win. Even though this has been a downgraded year for Matty Ice and the Falcons.
Patriots at Redskins
If I had to pick an upset for the weekend, this would be it. I might as well. The Patriots have little to lose and Washington is fighting for pride. Formula for an upset.
Bears at Broncos
Who is stupid enough to pick against Tim Tebow and the Broncos right now? Especially when the Bears are starting Caleb Hannie and missing Matt Forte.
49ers at Cardinals
The Cardinals have some momentum, right now, but it will all stop here. They just won't have the guns to battle with the Niners. Simple as that.
Bills at Chargers
San Diego always finishes strong and the Bills are rocketing back to Earth. The outlook doesn't good for Buffalo.
Raiders at Packers
Not at home. If they lose at all this season, it won't be at Lambeau.
Giants at Cowboys
I'm sorry but the NFC East is far from the most competitive division in the league. We are looking at two mediocre, inconsistent teams fight for the right to lose in the first round of the playoffs. I'll take the Giants because their coach doesn't ice his own kicker and mismanage the clock at the same time. Not yet, at least.
Rams at Seahawks
There goes my Monday Night. I'll find something else to do.
This may be a good week for me. Started off on a good foot with the Steeler-Browns game. Let's keep the momentum going.
Last Week: 10-6
